Konica nozzle

  1. To prevent nozzle clogging, you are strongly advised to install print head in a clean environment.
  2. To avoid electrostatic damage to the nozzle clip, please install print heads in an environment with static protection.
  3. To avoid damaging the nozzle face, do not impact or directly touch with the nozzle face by hand.
  4. Protect the print head cable from scratching or cutting off by external forces.
  5. To ensure print accuracy, control the flatness of the nozzle mounting surface within 10 microns.
  6. When installing UV print head, the positioning bolt must be fully embedded in the installation hole to prevent print head tilt installation. 
  7. In order to avoid excessive external force applied to the nozzle, please control torque at about 0.63n nanometer when fixing the print head.
  8. To avoid damage to the ink supply port, do not apply force when installing or removing the ink supply hose.
  9. Don’t live insertion or pull out of print head cable, and pay attention that print cable don’t not diagonal insert, in order to avoid nozzle damage caused by bad contact.

Ways for You to Solve The Problem If The Print Head of Your UV Printer is Blocked

  Hi, Nice to see you. In the digital inkjet printing process, whatever your digital printer is the sublimation printer or the UV printer. You all should grasp some basic ways to solve the problem if your print head is blocked. While in my last articles I have shared you about howto solve it with the sublimation print head and today I will help you about how to solve when it happen in the UV printers.
   Firstly, for the print head of the UV printer. The blocked can be divided into different levels. So in order to have detailed introduction I will share you from the different levels.

Level 1 Lightly Block
Solution: Soaking
Specific Method
  95% alcohol, a clean cup and a flat bottom metal containers. Prepare a small plate, put the nozzle on the it, and then into the disk some UV printer cleaning fluid, the depth of the fluid just above the nozzle. Be careful not to spill liquid on the cable plug and drive circuit board, the first soaking time of 1 to 4 hours.
Level 2 Heavily Block
Solution: Nozzle Injection Pressure Washing
Specific Method
  95% alcohol, a clean cup, a disposable syringe, disposable infusion set. Working principle: use syringes siphon effect of the pressure, put the cleaning fluid into the print head, so as to achieve the purpose of cleaning blocked print head.With a plastic tube of the infusion set, one side plug in the syringe, the other end put on the nozzle that need to be clean. Press the clean liquid from syringe to print head, pay attention to the pressure , should not be too strong, make sure not to squeeze the inside waterproofing glue.This process needs to be repeated several times until you see that each ink hole ejects a slim water column. In this way, the blocked nozzles are cleaned.

Level 3 Heavily Block
Solution: Distilled Water Cleaning
Specific Method
   A coded empty cartridge, a disposable syringe and a bottle of medical distilled water (also available with pure water), similar to the nozzle injection pressure washing.
  Prepare a decoded empty cartridge, a disposable syringe and a bottle of medical distilled water, use siphon action of the syringe pressure, inject the distilled water through the cartridge hole, after a while sucked out the distilled water by the syringe , few times the ink cartridge can be cleaned.

Level 4 The Most Serious Block
Solution: Ultrasonic Instrument Cleaning Method
Specific Method
  Gently put the print head into the washing machine, add pure water or special cleaning liquid, just cover the print head stainless steel edge (Be careful not to let the PCB board splash with pure water or special cleaning solution),10 to 15 hours can be quickly cleaned. The advantage is that the cleaning effect is very good, even for year blocking print head can be cleaned, the operation is also very simple. The disadvantage is that the cleaner maintenance costs is higher and the price is expensive.

  Step 6: After finish the checked.First printing test line to test whether the flatbed printer work normally.Through control software to print test,checking whether the nozzle hole is clogged,Each a small short test line is corresponding to a nozzle hole,The lack of short test line called "broken needle",Fuzzy called "virtual needle",must clean the print head If the "broken needle" and "virtual needle" ,please to clean the print head.

  Step 7: Checking whether the material placed properly before the UV printer start printing every time,to avoiding impact the print head in printing process.

And today I will keep following that topic and share you some ideas about how to solve the problem if your print head is blocked.

  The block of the print head can be divided into two situations: the slight block and the frequent block. Then I will introduce how to face the two problems in the next article.

Slight Block of The UV Flatbed Digital Print Head
  When you find your print heads are blocked slightly, please press the “PAUSE” button with no hesitation, and then use the clean the nozzles with the clean out fluid. Why many people complain about that their print heads usually get blocked? One of the most important reason is that they didn’t take any actions when they find the print heads get blocked slightly at the beginning. Besides, take actions immediately can also help you find more reasons why your print heads are getting blocked.






The Frequent Block of The Print Head
  a. Press the “PAUSE” button, then press the “PURGE”
  b. Keep the power of the device on, and unplug the liquid sensor signal line from the control panel of the print head.
  c. Take the ink supply tube (from the vice ink tank) from the print heads, and then use a glass syringe to extract the special cleaning liquid to clean the  nozzle. Method: Each time with 40ml cleaning fluid, every 10 minutes, a total of 3~4 times.
  d. Contact each part again, and restart the printing tasks.

What should we do if the methods above are not useful?
  If you find that all the ways are not effective, then what you should do is take the print head out of the printed, and soak it in the clean out fluid for 1 day, and then use the special cleaning machine to clean it. So today I will have a detailed introduce about the UV flatbed printer, especially the most important part of the printer---The UV Flatbed Printer print head and how to maintain it.

  Firstly, have a brief introduction of the UV flatbed printer. The other emerging category in wide format inkjet technology is the UV-curable flatbed inkjet printer, where the drying mechanism for the ink is completely different then that used in solvent inkjet printing. When ultra-violet light hits curable liquid ink, it transforms it from a liquid to a solid on the chosen substrate. UV-curable printers offer many of the same features as solvent inkjet printers offer with less expensive inks than aqueous inkjet inks and outdoor image durability without lamination. Since many are configured as flatbed systems, users can print directly on materials such as wood, metal, ceramic, and glass, opening a host of new possibilities in terms of applications and revenue streams. UV-curable has to improve its reliability and performance with flexible substrates if it’s going to overtake solvent printing in the roll-to-roll 
application.

Then the maintain of the UV Flatbed Printer

1. the primeval maintenance
    In order to make the print head get into the best condition when formal work, you'd better try to print images as more as possible before 1 ~ 2 days. And the colors should be C-M-Y-K.

2. Daily maintenance
   Daily maintenance for the print heads is very important. If you do not want your print head get blocked, you must know how to clean it after one day's work.
  A. Turn off the power
  B. Clean the sponge and soak it with clean out fluid
  C. Move the head to the right side, and make sure the soaked sponge and the print head are knit together tightly. Remember, keep this condition all over the night.
